Created in collaboration with Sato Kiyomatsu Shoten, a long-established lacquer atelier in Kyoto’s Nishijin district,
the KISSUL Color-Lacquered Tumbler brings urushi craftsmanship into the rhythm of modern life.

By adapting an ancient baking technique, natural Japanese lacquer is applied to stainless steel —
resulting in a bold yet refined fusion of tradition and innovation.

The vacuum-insulated double-wall design ensures excellent temperature retention,
while the lacquer coating offers a smooth mouthfeel, natural antibacterial properties, and the unique ability to be restored over time.

A thoughtful choice for both daily use and gifting,
each piece is individually handcrafted — slight variations in color and texture are part of its singular charm.

  • Even if the outer surface is not hot, the contents or drinking area may be very hot — please take care to avoid burns.
  • Do not leave contents inside for extended periods of time.
  • Keep away from open flames or high heat sources.
  • Do not soak in hot water or leave submerged for long periods.
  • Avoid storing in direct sunlight or inside a car where temperatures may rise.
  • Do not rub strongly, as the coating may peel.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the product to strong impact.
  • Do not use sharp objects, as they may cause scratches or damage.
  • Avoid using abrasive sponges, metal scrubbers, or cleansers containing polishing agents — these may damage the surface.
  • Do not use thinner, benzine, or chlorine-based bleach.
  • When using a dishwasher, ensure no excessive force or weight is applied.
  • To prolong the life of the product, we recommend gentle hand washing with lukewarm water and a soft sponge, then wiping dry with a soft cloth immediately afterward.
  • Avoid storing in direct sunlight, as this may cause discoloration of the coating.
  • You may notice a natural lacquer scent when first using the product or when pouring in hot liquids; this is harmless and will gradually fade with use.
  • In rare cases, some individuals may experience a skin reaction to lacquer; if this occurs, please consult a physician.
  • Each product is carefully handcrafted. Slight unevenness or irregularities in the coating are natural characteristics of the handmade process and not defects.
  • We strive to reproduce the actual color of the product as faithfully as possible, but please note that colors may appear differently depending on your monitor or lighting environment.
